CUBE architecture have recently been commissioned for full architectural services for this project.
Although still at an early stage in the proceedings, we have already carried out a full architectural survey of the site, and compiled feasibility options. Regular client meetings have resulted in continual re-designing and ‘tweaking’ until the client ‘wish list’ has been incorporated within the design. The time spent on the design stage for a project of this size should never be under-estimated, since changes are much easier to make on paper, rather than when the building is being constructed!
We are now at a stage where we have contacted the local planning department for pre-application discussions, and commenced dialogue with a number of contractors.
