DESCRIPTION: EXTENSION + REFURBISHMENT OF B-LISTED HOUSE

PROJECT INFORMATION: 

The project brief was to provide a bright, modern and contemporary addition to a ‘B’ Listed two storey stone villa set within the conservation area of Duddingston village in Edinburgh, so as to make the property more befitting modern day living requirements.

As well as extending the property to provide an increased lounge space and luxury kitchen, the entire existing building was completely refurbished. A deliberate decision was made to retain / refurbish as many of the traditional features as possible, whilst introducing contemporary design features, resulting in an interesting juxtaposition of contrasting styles.
